Description
Enameled works were a speciality of the Wiener Werkstaette. This art form was very trendy at that time and it was very hard to execute this craftmanship. The pictures were created by melting coloured powder, after the cooling process there was no way to alter the work. The Wiener Werstaette was very lucky to have many talented enamel workers under its roof.
The brooch is in a perfect condition, no damage to the silver and no damage to the enamel, which is very rare. It has four hallmarks on the back, the “WW” signet of the Wiener Werkstaette, the tax mark “900” for fine silver, the letters “AA” and the mark “GSt” of the viennese silversmith Georg Stoeger.
