Description
The side table is most likely part of the living room that Hans Bolek designed for the winter exhibition at the ÖMKI in 1913/14. The August Ungethüm furniture factory produced a living room and a study for this exhibition. The latter was purchased by Baron Ottokar Trnka von Laberon on November 6, 1913, while the whereabouts of the living room remain unclear to this day. In 2007, a desk and a display cabinet based on the same design were published. These were most likely additional pieces from the same living room. The quality of the carpentry is very impressive. As with the furniture from the study, the carvings are particularly noteworthy. These objects create a beautiful atmosphere, especially when viewed as an ensemble.
