This Loetz vase has a simple and elegant shape. In the lower third it appears bulbous, the vessel itself tapers upwards to a slender neck. The end is formed by a cantilevered, plate-shaped orifice.
On the opal underlay of the mouth-blown glass, the uniform wave pattern of this decoration is particularly effective. If the lines of the gold-coloured shimmering decoration are still close together at the neck of the vase, the feather-warped drawing is fully formed on the bulbous wall and can thus fully unfold its inner combed structure. The harmonious ornamentation of the four tongues is underlined by the corresponding decoration of the vase floor towards the bulbous wall. The free surface also emphasises the onduated pattern.
