Designed in 1902, the decor Phenomen Genre 2/474 of the glass manufacture Johann Loetz Witwe is characterized by the Candia background as well as the blue-violet threads drawn horizontally on it, which in turn culminate in strongly iridescent, heart-shaped decorative elements. The silver on the inside harmoniously accentuates the open neck of the vase. The glassworks is known to be inspired by nature, thus the decor evokes water lilies. Especially the four opposite indents on the otherwise minimalist shape of this vase, highlight the colorful iridescence.
