This brooch was designed by Josef Hoffmann in 1914, one of Josef Hoffmann’s most productive periods. The clear lines and stylized lines are typical for this creative period. An original photograph from around 1914 is in the Wiener Werkstätte archive in the Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna under the number WWF 96-185-15.
