At the end of the 30s female forms were being worked into items like mirrors or candelabrums. Later, the two Hagenauer brothers designed impressive busts and reliefs in which the female body was the main motive. The range of these items varied from big to small, from erotic depictures to athletic poses, to aesthetic and were exceptionally fine crafted. This figurine was made around 1940 The fine dynamic and the tranquil graceful appearance are typical for the designs of the Hagenauer Brothers.
