Wall mirror, Brüder Nedomansky, Vienna, ca. 1900
This wall mirror by the Viennese firm Brüder Nedomansky was created around 1900 in the style of the Vienna Secession. The strikingly profiled frame is distinguished by its clear geometric form and the contrasting combination of dark-stained wood with gilded ornamental details. Its restrained yet striking design combines fine craftsmanship with the Vienna Secession’s characteristic pursuit of a harmonious interplay between form and ornament.
Two identical examples of this mirror are preserved.
