At Loetz, 1898 stands out as the birth year of the decor known as Phenomen Genre. The decor Phenomen Genre 7767 is a further development of one of the most successful and earliest Phenomen Genre decor 6893. The typical wavy lines are interrupted by thick silver oxide flakes and thus form an irregular silvery-blue shimmering surface. The ribbed glass was distorted at the top of the muzzle, when hot, and thus has two overhanging lips. The execution of this decoration is documented so far only on this paper pattern (company drawing of the mold), which indicates that the decoration was executed only very rarely and for a short time. For us, too, it is therefore the first time that we have been allowed to hold this decoration in our hands.
