Pendant, attributed to Levinger & Bissinger, ca. 1905, 925 silver with gradient window enamel, dalmatite and amethyst, marked
From 1904 on, jewelery designer Karl Bissinger and the jewelery salesman Emil Levinger produced high quality gold and silverware under the same name. Next to Bissingers designs those of Otto Prutscher were executed too.
The gradient from green to white into a faint rosé was one of the trademarks by Levinger & Bissinger. The high quality of the enamel is beautifully displayed on this necklace. Together with the delicate design and the fine silver craftsmanship, this makes a fine piece of Art Nouveau jewelery from circa 1905.
